Following the shooting at Uvalde Elementary School in Texas, United States, where 21 people diedthe demand for bulletproof backpacks for children has increased considerably in the country, according to the TMZ portal.

And it is that parents in America are doing anything to keep your children safe and that means investing in these types of products.

Former Secret Service agent Mike De Geus, founder and CEO of Leatherback Gear, explained to TMZ that your company has seen a considerable increase of 800% in the sales a few days after the massacre in Uvalde.

De Geus, who worked with former presidents Donald Trump, Barack Obama, George Bush y Bill Clinton when he was a Secret Service agent, he says his backpacks offer the same amount of bulletproof armor as the models he had when he protected US leaders.

Another manufacturer of bulletproof backpacks is TuffyPacks, from where they also indicate that they are experiencing a notable increase in sales of armor that can go inside any bag. Owner Steve Naremore claims that the products are shipped all over the country, with sales increasing by 300%.

Similarly, the Dog Security company has also seen increased demand from consumers and retail partners who carry its bulletproof bags. Yasir Sheikh, president of the company, told TMZ that part of his profits go to Make Our Schools Safe, an organization founded by the parents of a murdered student in the 2018 Parkland shooting in Florida.
