Residents of states in the tri-state area of the United States such as New York will have to deal with snow and rain on Wednesday, weather authorities reported.
A storm will cause flake buildup as well as precipitation, and in turn dangerous road conditions.
The ABC 7 report indicates that the system will move through the area early and its effects will continue for the rest of the day . The outlook is expected to improve around 7 pm
Areas of northern and western New York City will see between 1 and 3 inches of snow, while the city itself will receive approximately six-tenths of an inch to one inch.
The National Weather Service indicated that there is about a 10% chance that Staten Island County will experience between one and two inches of snow.
Additionally, experts anticipate that Newark, New Jersey, and parts of Manhattan could receive up to two inches of snow.
The New York Department of Sanitation issued a winter operations advisory for this Wednesday beginning at 6 a.m.
The storm reports come just days after temperatures in NYC hit 70 degrees .
The maximum temperature in New York for today is estimated at 38 °F, and the minimum at 33 °F.
