The US Department of Defense confirmed that several leaked photos and videos of “unidentified aerial phenomena” taken in 2019 are legitimate images of unexplained objects.

Navy personnel took photos and video of triangle-shaped objects flickering and moving through the clouds, Pentagon spokeswoman Sue Gough said in a statement to Citizen Free Press.

It also confirmed that the Navy personnel took photographs of three other unidentified flying objects, one in the shape of a “sphere”, another in the shape of an “acorn” and one characterized as a “metallic airship”.

“As we said before, to maintain the security of operations and avoid revealing information that may be useful to potential adversaries, the Department of Defense does not publicly discuss the details of observations or examinations of reported raids on our training grounds or designated airspace, including those incursions initially designated as UAP (unidentified aerial phenomena),” said Gough.

He also said that the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, created in August to investigate UFO sightings observed by the military, has “included these incidents in its ongoing examinations.”

The Navy photos and videos were posted by Mystery Wire and on the Extraordinary Beliefs website last week, but had been circulating online since last year.

There have been “a number of reports of unauthorized and / or unidentified aircraft entering various military-controlled fields and designated airspace in recent years,” the Navy said in 2019. Last year, the Pentagon released three videos that show “unidentified aerial phenomena,” clips that the US Navy had previously confirmed to be real.

US intelligence agencies have been ordered to submit unclassified reports on the unidentified aerial phenomena to Congress in June.
