Novak Djokovic lobbied Biden to participate in Indian Wells and Miami
The United States has once again closed the entrance door to Novak Djokovic. The North American country increased -until May 11- the restriction of all those foreign visitors who did not have the complete vaccination against the Coronavirus. As a result, Novak will not be able to participate in the upcoming tournaments in Indian Wells and Miami.

The Serb has tried to use all his cards to compete in the next two Masters 1000 tournaments on the American tour. The first ‘AS’ up his sleeve was to ask for an exemption to enter the country, but it was denied.
The second option the world number one considered, according to The New York Times, was to use his influence by appealing to the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Transportation or the Secretary of Homeland Security, positions that have among their powers to allow him to enter the United States.
Likewise, Novak Djokovic’s team has been in contact with people who may have a direct relationship with Joe Biden, President of the United States. Among them we can highlight the tennis player Billie Jean King. However, and in the face of the first refusal of the Government, the Balkan is not giving up and will try to achieve his goal.
IMG, Novak’s representative agency, contacted Rick Scott and Marco Rubio, two Republican senators, so that they could write a letter to the U.S. president to facilitate the Serbian’s entry, but, once again, it came to nothing for Djokovic.
One of the most representative figures of the Florida tournament, James Blake, supported the Serb so that he could compete in the United States, although this pressure also had no effect: ”We have highlighted the fact that it would be good for the economy and for the community of Miami,” James himself emphasized.
A loose, windblown hairstyle was the final touch to the look.
