Several people have been injured after shooting at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis, according to police.

The incident was reported at facilities near the Indianapolis International Airport, the WRTV channel reported .

William Young, a spokesman for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, said police are calling the incident a “mass casualty,” according to WRTV.

Police did not confirm the number of injured, but said several people had been taken to hospitals in the area.

The officer of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, Genae Cook, said that the officers were notified of an active attacker and shots were fired at the scene around 11:00 pm local time, the television station reported.

Jeremiah Miller, a worker who had finished his shift, told the local channel WISHTV that he and his partner Timothy Boillat heard up to 10 detonations .
