He already got a taste of the life of a singer at Italy’s San Remo music festival and now AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will dedicate himself to acting in a new Asterix and Obelix film.
Reports that the Swede would play a role in “Asterix and Obelix: The Silk Road” seemed to be confirmed when Ibrahimovic posted a photo that said “Antivirus” on his Instagram account, the name of the character he will play.
The 39-year-old footballer performed at the Italian San Remo festival in March, where he sang in a duet with Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and said he would like to try acting.
But the news that he would be cast in the Asterix film, directed by Guillaume Canet and slated for release in 2022, came as a surprise.
The forward is Milan’s top scorer with 17 goals in all tournaments this season. He has yet to agree on a new contract as the current one expires at the end of the season.
