DENVER, Colorado – Boulder Police Officer Eric Talley’s funeral takes place this Tuesday, March 30 at 11 a.m. Officer Talley was killed in response to a shooting at a King Soopers store in Boulder on March 22, 2021.

A police procession for Talley will depart Thornton around 10 a.m., and is scheduled to arrive at the memorial service in Lafayette at 10:30 a.m.

Talley, 51, leaves behind a wife and seven children, ages 5 to 18.

The service will take place at Flatirons Community Church, located at 355 West South Boulder Road in Lafayette.

While the general public can attend, attendance at the event is limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. The venue will open at 9:30 am Seating is limited due to the pandemic and attendees must wear masks and meet social distancing requirements while inside the church.

There will be a short procession for family, friends, and lifeguards who will participate prior to the ceremony.
