After claiming on Russian television that she feared she would be imprisoned or killed in the U.S., the American woman asked Putin for Russian citizenship

Tara Reade, a former Senate aide who accused President Joe Biden of sexual assault, announced Tuesday that she defected to Russia.

During a live Twitter press conference with Russian spy Maria Butina, whom she referred to as her friend, she complained about America’s terrible roads and endless wars, and grumbled about being baselessly accused of having ties to Russia.

“I feel very much surrounded by protection and security. I really appreciate Maria and everyone who has given me that at a time when it’s been very difficult to know whether I’m safe or not.”

Reade told reporters that the “very difficult” decision to move came after realizing she no longer felt safe in Biden’s America.

After claiming on Russian television that she feared she would be imprisoned or killed in the U.S., the American asked Putin for Russian citizenship.

“To my Russian brothers and sisters, I am sorry at this time that American elites are choosing such an aggressive stance. Know that most American citizens want to be friends and hope that we can be united again,” she added, before personally thanking Butina.

Joe Biden denies accusations of sexual abuse

Tara Reade, who was a former employee of Joe Biden, three years ago accused the then Democratic candidate for the U.S. presidency of sexually assaulting her in the early 1990s when he was a senator. Previously, she had accused him of groping.

In two interviews with The Associated Press, Tara Reade alleged that the assault occurred in the basement of an office building in the Capitol complex in the spring of 1993.

However, both Biden and his campaign denied the allegations.

“It’s not true. It never happened,” Biden said in a statement, noting that throughout his political career he has demonstrated his commitment to combating violence against women.
