The Ministry of Health of Peru has confirmed this Sunday, for the second consecutive day, more than one hundred deaths due to the coronavirus, which has already left 38,871 fatalities in the Andean country, after adding the 101 registered in the last 24 hours.

The health authorities have also diagnosed 2,565 infections this time, representing a total of 1,064,909 accumulated cases, of which 982,111 have managed to overcome the disease.

Peru, which has just started its second wave, has also announced this Sunday the ratification of the agreement to bring the first doses of the Chinese vaccine against the coronavirus to the country, in collaboration with a private company.

The Minister of Health, Pilar Mazzetti, explained that the million doses of the vaccine developed by the Chinese laboratory Sinopharm is already available and is waiting to obtain the export permit, although she has not specified the price of the vaccines, due to the confidentiality agreement and trade secret, which he recalled, contemplated by the Peruvian Constitution.
