Claudia Sheinbaum, head of government of Mexico City, thanked the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) for the help it is providing to the reconstruction of the electric power substation of the Collective Transportation System (STC) Metro that caught fire during the early hours of Saturday, January 9.

Due to the need to reestablish regular service on lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the Metro, the commission led by Manuel Bartlett It helps the transportation system to restore the generation, transmission and distribution of electric power.

“We are on a visit to supervise the work being done by the Federal Electricity Commission and the Mexico City Metro in order to re-establish Lines 1, 2 and 3 as soon as possible. On the other hand, lines 1, 2 and 3, the most saturated of the Metro, can be ready until a longer period, in such a way that the CDMX government established an alternative mobility model in which it is reinforced in the use of Metrobús, Passenger Transport Network (RTP), Light Train and Trolleybus; However, this does not replace the Metro, because throughout the history of the means of transport, urbanization and the population of the capital was based, to a large extent, on access to stations.
