President Joe Biden and the former president Donald Trump shared opposing Thanksgiving messages Thursday as Americans sat down to their traditional turkey dinner.

Biden took to Twitter to wish people happy holidays and to highlight the US military, while Trump made a series of posts on his Truth Social platform complaining about the ongoing investigations.

“From the Biden family to all of you, Happy Thanksgiving,” Biden tweeted. “This holiday, we celebrate all that unites us, grounded in history and our shared hopes for the future.”

Biden and first lady Jill Biden then shared a video showing them serving Thanksgiving dinner to staff at Marine Corps Station Cherry Point in North Carolina. “May God bless America’s service members and their families, this Thanksgiving and always,” they tweeted.

Jill and I were honored to join the Marines, Sailors, and families of the Second Marine Expeditionary Force last night.

Our nation is indebted to you.

And to all the military spouses and kids who joined us, Jill and I see you. We know how much you also give to our nation. pic.twitter.com/r7FDsGldns

The president’s official Twitter account also shared Thanksgiving messages sent to Biden by children and a photo of the president and first lady talking on the phone with military personnel “You gave up your seat at the Thanksgiving table to defend us, and we owe you a debt of gratitude. You are the best of America,” Biden wrote.

Meanwhile, former President Trump wrote a series of posts on Truth Social pointing to the ongoing investigations into his actions, including by recently appointed special counsel Jack Smith.

“The Manhattan District Attorney case should never have been filed,” Trump wrote. The DA’s ‘Star’ witness, who has been harassed and mistreated, and is in incredible fear, however, has fully confirmed our story and defense.”

The former president was referring to a fraud case brought against the Trump Organization by the Manhattan district attorney’s office. The prosecutor rested his case at trial earlier this week.

Former CFO of the Trump Organization, Allen Weisselberg pleaded guilty in August, telling jurors that he worked with the company’s controller, Jeff McConneyto avoid taxes on the profits that the company had provided over a period of 15 years.

“This case should be dismissed immediately, and the large, highly paid, ‘prestigious’ accounting firm that we TRUSTed to do their job, but didn’t, should pay us a fortune in damages,” Trump continued, referring to to Mazars. .

“There has never been a ‘Supplemental Benefits’ case like this before. A total witch hunt!” wrote the former president. Trump wrote in a subsequent post: “’Give me freedom or give me death’”.

He then appeared to take aim at the US Supreme Court after the justices rejected his request to block Democrats in the House of Representatives from accessing his tax records.

“When a Republican justice or judge is proudly appointed by a Republican, he or she will ALMOST always go out of his way to point out, even in a decision, that he or she is in no way ‘indebted’ to the person or party that gave them this great honor,” he said.

“When a Democrat judge or judge, especially one from the radical left, is proudly appointed by a Democrat, he or she just doesn’t care, it’s ALMOST impossible to get a fair decision in a case if you’re a Republican. I’m sorry, but that’s the way it is!” she added.

In another post, the former president appeared to refer to special counsel Jack Smith as “a radical left prosecutor, totally controlled by Eric Holder and Obama.” Former President Obama left office in January 2017, while former Attorney General Eric Holder he left that position in 2015.

Trump said the “‘Justice’ Department and the FBI are CORRUPT” and referenced Hunter Biden and a dossier prepared by former British spy Christopher Steele. “I did nothing wrong on January 6 (peacefully & patriotically), or with documents (see past presidents),” Trump added, before writing another post that simply read: “WITCH HUNT!!!” .
