Sacramento (USA), Jan 15 (EFE) .- Forward Kawhi Leonard scored 27 points and led the Los Angeles Clippers, who beat the Sacramento Kings 100-138 on the road in the NBA.
The Clippers have won 15 straight road games against the Kings. Los Angeles have not lost in Sacramento since March 19, 2013.
Forward Paul George was also productive in attack for the Clippers and contributed 26 points, while backup power forward Marcus Morris Sr. had 18 points for the Los Angeles team.
Spanish nationalized Congolese player Serge Ibaka scored six points in 18 minutes of action. In addition, he scored 3 of 4 shots from the field, had three rebounds and five assists.
The victory allowed the Clippers (9-4) to get the third consecutive and leave the games played outside their Staples Center field at 5-2.
The Clippers remain second in the Pacific Division and in the Western Conference, only surpassed by their neighbors the Lakers (11-3) who also beat the New Orleans (112-95) and achieved the fifth consecutive victory.
For the Kings, power forward Marvin Bagley III had 20 points as the best scorer, while center Richaun Holmes had 17 points and forward Harrison Barnes and point guard DeAaron Fox contributed 14 each.
Two nights after allowing the Portland Trail Blazers to equal the franchise record for 3-pointers, Sacramento again struggled with their defense as the Clippers hit 18 baskets from outside the perimeter in 35 attempts.
