In Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone, the first season, which started on December 16, 2020, continues to run. What’s new in the Season 1 Mid-Season Update?
Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War – Multiplayer
New map: sanatorium
For the multiplayer mode of Black Ops: Cold War, a new map for the Fireteam mode called Sanatorium appears with the mid-season update. According to the official description, you will end up in a hilly forest area where your team will uncover the secrets of the Golova project. In addition, you should be able to use land, water and air vehicles here.
It is currently rumored that Sanatorium will be one of the various Fireteam cards that will be used in the future to put together the next main Warzone card.
New mode: Dropkick
The patch also releases a new multiplayer mode called Dropkick. Here two teams of six players each fight over a briefcase that contains nuclear codes. The developers describe the mode as a kind of “hot potato game” – so it could be about conquering the suitcase and throwing it to your teammates. The team that reaches 200 points first wins the game and is rewarded with an explosive ending.

Weapon balance adjustments
Battle Royale players will not get any new content with the update. Only the weapon balance has been adjusted again. Among other things, the DMR rifle was nerfed for the second time.

Zombies
New mode: Cranked
The new zombies mode Cranked is not only reminiscent of the film Crank with Jason Statham, in which the main character Chev Chelios has to keep her adrenaline level high, otherwise she will die. Free week for zombies
In addition, with the release of the mid-season update, a free week for the zombie mode starts. Double weapon XP
Last but not least, in celebration of the Mid-Season Update, all players are getting Double Gun XP. The XP event starts on Friday the January 15, 2021 at 7 p.m. and runs until Tuesday, the January 19, 2021 at 7 p.m.
