Billionaire Elon Musk caused a furor on social networks after being seen entering the facilities of the technology company Twitter carrying a sink.
The billionaire Elon Musk uploaded a video this Wednesday, October 26, where he is seen entering the Twitter headquarters before the deadline to close the company’s purchase agreement for $44,000 million dollars.
The video could go unnoticed except for one thing. In it the CEO of Tesla is seen carrying a sink through the lobby area. On his Twitter account he wrote: “Entering Twitter headquarters, sink it!”
Since he agreed to buy the company, for the original agreed price of $54.20 per share, the businessman has begun to make some changes. Musk changed the description in his profile title to “Chief Twit” and also changed his location to “Twitter headquarters,” which is located in San Francisco.
Although the negotiation advanced in favor of the purchase of Twitter, after canceling the agreement months ago, Musk has until Friday, October 28, to close the deal. So far, neither the billionaire nor the tech company have said whether or not the deal is done.
Meanwhile, Musk’s intentions with the company include cutting almost 75% of the company’s employees from the 7,500 employees, reducing the company to just over 2,000, according to reports from The Washington Post. The technology company has not confirmed this information.
A memo published by Bloomberg News on Oct. 22 mentions that Twitter’s general counsel warned workers not to follow speculation about their futures as the deal closes.
Musk said for his part that with the acquisition of the company he would seek to add new services to the digital platform under the name “X, the application of everything”. He has also denied the rumors surrounding the wave of layoffs.
