Glassdoor unveiled its list of the Best Places to Work in 2023 in the United States, where companies like Meta, Zillow, Zoom and Apple have fallen from the annual list; only Google remains in the top 10 places
Like every year that begins, January means the opportunity to look for a new job. If possible, focus your search on the best places to work, whether it’s for salary, benefits, or even the work environment. To make your review of job offers easier, we present you the best places to work in the United States this 2023, according to Glassdoor.
According to Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work in 2023 list, technology company Gainsight, which drives other companies’ lasting growth, was ranked as the best place to work in America this year.
The list is created based on feedback from its own workers, with employees praising Gainsight for its values and “for being human first and foremost,” even amid economic uncertainty.
“This is the most supportive, understanding, family-owned company I’ve ever worked for,” said a Gainsight instructor from St. Louis, Missouri.
Although tech companies have ranked among the top employers on Glassdoor’s annual list in the past, this is the first time Gainsight has made the list.
This company earned a rating of 4.7 out of 5, based on more than 2 million reviews on Glassdoor. That’s well above the company’s average rating of 3.7.

This year’s list features employers from multiple industries, including technology, finance, biotech and pharmaceuticals, real estate and retail. The four most represented industries are technology, finance, consulting and real estate.
In fact, 41 companies that made this year’s list are in the technology sector. This comes as the industry has grappled with a series of layoffs and hiring freezes in recent months as companies try to weather economic uncertainty.
“The past year has brought extreme ups and downs for job seekers and employees, but despite an increasingly uncertain job market, Glassdoor data shows that there are still companies very focused on creating outstanding employee experiences,” said the CEO. Glassdoor CEO Christian Sutherland-Wong in a statement.
Tech companies like Meta, Zillow, Zoom and Apple fell from Glassdoor’s annual list this year.
