Orlando Florida. – Keith Moses, the suspect in the shooting of a woman, girl and journalist in Pine Hills, Orlando, was arrested by authorities and then taken to hospital after claiming he couldn’t breathe said Orange County Sheriff John Mina.
Moses was arrested shortly after allegedly shooting T’yonna Major, the 9-year-old girl who died, and her mother.
However, a witness sworn statement revealed that the suspect accepted the ride he and Nathacha Augustín, 38, one of the victims, offered her because she knew him.
The young man accused of Augustín’s death got into the Hyundai car which was driven by the witness.
“About 30 seconds after Moisés climbed into the rear passenger seat behind Augustín, the driver reported hearing a loud explosion. Augustín was bleeding from the face. When the driver pulled over to Hialeah Street to call 911, he said Moises had fled,” the affidavit reads.
Orange County Sheriff John Mina said Wednesday evening that Moses “was an acquaintance of the woman, but to our knowledge he had no connection with the reporters or with the mother and 9-year-old daughter.” , said Mina.
Who is the suspect?
Moïse is 19 years old and has a criminal record. Although charges have already been filed in the 38-year-old’s death, official documents show a criminal record for weapons charges, as well as aggravated assault, assault with a deadly weapon, robbery and robberies.
What was the reason for the attack?
So far, it is not known what the motive for the shooting was.
Mina said that Augustín and Moses were acquaintances.
On the other hand, he commented that the Spectrum News 13 journalists’ van has not been identified and that they do not know if the suspect knew that the people present in the neighborhood belonged to the media.
“So the suspect isn’t saying much at this point,” Mina said. “He was an acquaintance of the woman, but to our knowledge he had no connection with the reporters or the mother and the 9-year-old girl,” Mina said.
