The theft, caught on camera, occurred around 3:45 pm, in the Polk Street and Bush Street area.

Police reported that both victims, aged 33 and 53, were walking when three suspects attacked them from behind.

One of the suspects took the purse of one of the women who struggled to keep it from being taken from her. A second suspect hit her multiple times in the face.

Authorities indicated that the other woman tried to help her friend, but during the struggle she fell to the ground causing the suspect to kick her repeatedly.

The suspects boarded a vehicle and as they fled one of the women clung to the driver’s door.
