Víctor Romo denounced the PAN for identity theft due to an alleged Vaccination Campaign in the Miguel Hidalgo Mayor’s Office

After the afternoon of this Friday, February 12, one suspected electoral campaign through political propaganda in which the inhabitants of the Miguel Hidalgo mayor’s office are urged to fill out a registry to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, Víctor Romo, head of this demarcation, denounced the PAN for “usurpation of identity.”

Through his official Twitter account, Romo announced that he went to the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (FGJCDMX) to file a complaint against the National Action Party (PAN), as he indicated that they orchestrated a “dirty war” against him ”.

“I have already reported the PAN to @FiscaliaCDMX for the crime of identity theft and what results from the dirty war that they orchestrated against me for the supposed registration for the application of the Covid-19 vaccine “, he wrote.

The tweet was accompanied by a photograph of the complaint made for the crime of “identity theft” against “who or who are responsible” for this fact.

The IECM reported that said procedure was initiated without complaint. Its foundation was the information disseminated on social networks. 

Likewise, This action was given in response to the investigation initiated by the Electoral Institute of Mexico City (IECM), which stated that it would begin this process derived from the complaints made against Romo.

“(It is) already investigated, informally, the origin of the propaganda attributed to the Mayor Miguel Hidalgo, in which presumably the head of said Administration, Víctor Romo, offers the vaccine against Covid, for proselytizing purposes.”Reads the official statement.

The electoral institution stated that said procedure was initiated without complaint. Its foundations were the information disseminated on social networks, and will seek to “carry out the conducive proceedings and gather sufficient evidence to initiate, where appropriate, a Informal Sanctioning Special Procedure”.

Before this news, Romo spoke from social networks and applauded the IECM’s decision to “investigate the PAN”. 

Finally, the IECM warned that it will continue to await the actions of various political entities, as well as its information disseminated regarding the conduct of applicants for some popularly elected positions, in order to intervene in a timely manner and initiate the corresponding investigations to define responsibilities, if necessary.

Before this news, Romo spoke from social networks and applauded the IECM’s decision to “investigate the PAN”, as he said that it was a deception for the people on a subject as delicate as public health.

It should be remembered that it was the journalist Joaquín López-Dóriga who made the alleged vaccination campaign known. Through his Twitter account, cHe shared an image showing a supposed pamphlet with the legend “Romo te vaccina”, in which personal data such as name, address, telephone number and voter code of the presumed beneficiaries are requested, as well as the filling in of a box in which you can select the type of dose of your choice; among them were drugs Sputnik V, CanSino, Pfizer, AztraZeneca and Moderna.

Immediately after the fact is made known, Romo declared that the claims were false, since it was all a plan initiated by the PAN against him., and commented that the address that appears on the ballot does not exist.

Subsequently, the official account of the Mayor Miguel Hidalgo shared a clarifying note in this regard and he exhorted citizens not to be surprised and to report this type of act.

In addition to publicizing the images of the vaccination plan denied by the mayor through his social networks, also during the program, the communicator Joaquín López-Dóriga released a recording in which a presumed server of the Federal Government is requesting the voter’s credential to residents over 60 years of age living in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, so that they can obtain the registration for the application of the vaccine against COVID-19.
