A plane that left the city this Saturday U.S from Denver to Honolulu, Hawaii, had to return in an emergency after suffering problems with an engine, the parts of which fell on a suburb of the capital of the state of Colorado, authorities said.

The ship, a Boeing 777-200 operated by United Airlines, returned to Denver International Airport and landed from “Safely, after experiencing a failure in your right engine shortly after take off”the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement.

Authorities did not report any injuries or injuries from the emergency.

A spokesman for Denver International Airport told CNN that the landing took place around 1:30 p.m. local time (20:30 GMT).

“The FAA is aware of reports of challenges in the vicinity of the aircraft’s flight path,” detailed the agency.

In addition, he noted that the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB, in English) will be in charge of the investigation and updating the reports on this fact.

Police in Broomfield, a city that is part of the Denver metropolitan area, published on their Twitter account that a plane was flying over the area due to engine problems and that parts had fallen over several areas.

“No injuries were reported at this time.”added the Police, who released photos of metal remains that ended up on the gardens of several houses and in a park.

In a series of messages, the Police also asked residents not to touch or move the pieces that fell off the plane and invited residents to report the parts they found in their homes to the authorities.

At the moment, the airline has not commented and the number of passengers and crew traveling on the aircraft is unknown.
