The anime of “Triangular Stampedeis one of those who suffer from comparisons. Because indeed, everyone remembers the iconic original design of the protagonist in “Trigun” as well as the presence (now absent) of characters such as Milly Thompson. However, if you look beyond this you will find one of the best sci-fi/western shows in years, plus an exercise in CGI at a height that doesn’t Orange seems to know how to regularly reach.
The Trigun Stampede anime still seems to make a lot of sense
Now a leak from the hand of @bgette0 left us with what in theory (remember this is not officially announced information) will be the length of the “Trigun Stampede” anime:
- If the information provided by the insider is met, the Trigun Stampede anime will have a duration that will have to be extended for a total of 24 episodes.
- Although it has not yet been communicated, it is implied that the anime will be split into 2 parts, as for the spring the Trigun Stampede TV space has already been localized for the Jigokuraku anime.
- This duration will be only 2 episodes less than the classic Trigun anime, which ended up having a total of 26 episodes at the time.
- Obviously, the two series are very different from each other, and this is in fact the objective with which Trigun Stampede was created (I want to understand): find a formula for the story that, while fresh even for readers of the manga, would stay at the heart of what Trigun is really about and represents everything Vash has to live for.
personally i have to say that I love the anime of “Trigun Stampede”. Honestly, I know it’s weird, but when I saw the original, it didn’t quite convince me. The beginning felt too relaxed and reliant on humor that didn’t quite fit the past of a character like Vash. Of course, comedic winks are always appreciated, but I think I prefer this much more gritty and ‘lively’ story. Although yes, I also liked the classic character design better.
