As in life itself, there are times when it’s time to close a stage and that’s what will happen to them.
With time and the arrival of new generations, several developers make decisions that end up being sad but, at the same time, they are correct at the time they are executed. This is why, at the end of 2023, there is three well-known titles hitting digital stores and which obviously cannot be purchased after the date.
In this case, the retirement of the three titles that I will mention below was announced by EA via its website. And it is that, in this present 2023, the deliveries of Battlefield 1943, Bad Company 1 and 2, and Mirror’s Edge celebrate 15 years since release. This makes the developer think about ending the path of these three big deliveries.
This is the date on which these games will no longer be purchasable
- As EA announced, these three games will no longer be available in digital stores. from next April 28, 2023.
- This in turn is the beginning of the end for its online services, which, they will cease to be active on December 8, 2023.
- From the developer, They recommend getting the games before their date of withdrawal.
- It must be remembered that those who have already purchased it before, they will continue to maintain it.
Sober Battlefield 1943
This episode of Battlefield was set during World War II and you had the option of fighting in the Pacific as part of the Imperial Japanese Army or the United States Marine Corps.
It only had a digital release and was exclusive to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
Sober Battlefield Bad Company 1 & 2
With these two installments, the Frostbite graphics engine has been well received, which has helped make the Battlefield experience much more immersive for fans of the franchise. In these two titles, in addition to having an iconic cast of four characters, there was a story that aroused the interest of many players.
Battlefield: Bad Company 1, like 1943, was also exclusive to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Whereas Battlefield: Bad Company 2 made the decision to make the jump to PC.
Sober Mirror’s Edge
It’s no surprise how much many players love Mirror’s Edge. Featuring the iconic Faith, this title from Electronic Arts made us very happy with its remarkable parkour style.
This first-person action-adventure title was released in 2008 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. A year later, it made the jump to the PC.
Did you know these games? To tell the truth, I had the chance to play it a long time ago and although I am a big fan of shooting games, Mirror’s Edge surprised me very pleasantly.
