The United States had administered more than 165 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines in the country as of Sunday morning and has distributed about 208 millionthe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said Sunday.
The figure compares with the 161,688,422 doses of vaccines the CDC said had been injected as of Saturday and the 207,866,645 doses distributed.
The agency said 106,214,924 people have received at least one dose of the vaccines, while 61,416,536 had completed the process as of Sunday.
In the last 24 hours, more than 4 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered, representing a new record, as reported by the CDC. In addition, Saturday was the first of the last seven days to exceed 3 million vaccinated.
