WASHINGTON DC – The Supreme Court of Justice said Monday that it will not hear a Pennsylvania case about alleged voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election, one of the latest such cases as similar cases have previously been dismissed.

The high court asked a lower court to dismiss the case for lack of arguments.

The vast majority of similar cases had already been dismissed; in this case, the Supreme Court had requested additional information that was not available until the end of March before deciding whether to take up the case.

The case centered on an appeal from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court decision that upheld state authorities to count mail-in ballots that arrived up to three days after the Nov. 3 election.

The lawsuit would also have the debate over who has the final say in the way federal elections are conducted within the state.

Fewer than 10,000 ballots were received in Pennsylvania in the three days after the election, a figure that would not have altered the outcome of the presidential election in that state, in which former President Donald Trump lost by about 80,000 votes.
