Studio Ghibli It is often synonymous with fantasy, but that does not mean that the studio itself does not sometimes make efforts to bring its fair degree of realism. Precisely, few things more realistic can be created an amusement park called Ghibli Park to spend hours in all kinds of locations and attractions representative of the studio’s films. Now it’s announced an incredible surprise for Ghibli Park: it will have its army of catbuses.
It will be possible to visit Ghibli Park in a real official Catbus
Well, the term “army” is perhaps a slight exaggeration of what there will eventually be, and that’s why I elaborate below everything that has been said (via ANN):
- It has been confirmed that the fact that Ghibli Park is included in the plans have five electric catbuses.
- The purpose of these catbuses will be transport visitors through the different places of the park in an ecological way at the same time (hence why the catbus are going to be electric precisely).
- Basically, the main idea will be ‘dress up’ regular busesbased on a specific model of Toyota, with the appearance of the iconic Catbus from My Neighbor Totoro.
- This project to introduce five electric catbuses is part of the budget that Park Ghibli has for this 2023, which is 6.5 billion yen. In euros it would be something like 45.75 million.
- It is important to remember that In 2023 the Mononoke Forest area will also open, while in 2024 the same will be done with the Valley of the Witches. Come on, whoever returns to the park next year, after having visited it when it opened, will have plenty of new things to enjoy.
The truth is, I really want to see how it goes with the five catbuses hanging out in Park Ghibli, and that’s it. It seems to me that it will give a completely renewed air to the amusement park. At the moment, nothing more has been said on the issue of the catbus, but obviously it is assumed that its use will be completely free for those who have purchased a ticket for the place. In any case, at first it seems like a great idea that many fans will surely like.
