The California couple accused of beating an eight-year-old boy to death

The authorities of the city of Fresno, in California (United States), arrested a couple after they beat to death an eight-year-old who was under their guardianship.

As reported by the chain “Telemundo”, The officers arrived last Saturday, April 18, at a residence located on Belgravia Avenue to investigate and support a minor who did not respond.

The authorities and a group of medical aid found the minor in one of the rooms of the house without vital signs. Immediately, the medical staff tried to revive the boy, but the efforts were in vain.

Investigators classified the case as a suspicious death, since the boy lived with two adults and two alleged older brothers.

However, a forensic examination in the county of Fresno determined that the child’s death was a homicide product of a “severe blunt trauma”. For this reason, Patrick Johnson (49 years old and who had the guardianship) and Crystal Johnson (47 years old) were arrested on April 20.

Patrick Johnson faces murder charges and Crystal for felony child abuse. They are both in the Fresno County Jail.
