Two subjects were taken into custody Sunday after an intense search by Miami-Dade police.
“Pure noise. Helicopters. And I didn’t know my neighbor had been robbed,” said Elimar, a neighbor in the northwest county, where there was heavy police activity today.
According to the police, it was an armed robbery, although officially they have not confirmed exactly in which house it took place.
Witnesses said off-camera that the subjects allegedly attempted to enter various properties. For this reason, the neighbors themselves called the authorities who closed the whole neighborhood.
“The police came. He touched us and told us not to go out,” said a neighborhood neighbor.
The search was done by air and by land for intense hours. A neighbor said that “when the police arrived, the dogs approached the fence of my house and detected them”.
By noon, the suspects had already been arrested.
“At the back of my house there is a fence and on the other side there is a small house where the neighbors keep their belongings. They were hiding there,” they said.
“The little I heard was that she was hearing noises. Well, they were there.”
What worries the neighborhood the most is that this type of incident occurs on a Sunday in broad daylight.
