NEW YORK — New York’s iconic St. Patrick’s Day parade returns with a bang on Friday, marching down Fifth Avenue for the 262nd time in its history.
Of course, New York’s parades raise street closures and other issues. Here’s what you need to know.
When does the St. Patrick’s Day parade start in New York?
The parade begins at 11:00 a.m. and lasts until approximately 4:30 p.m. ET, although the live stream will continue until 3:00 p.m. The route begins at Fifth Avenue In 44th street and ends in 79th street.
Anywhere along the stage is a great place to watch, but if you want to be close to the action, it’s best to get there early. Sorry, no porta potties, so please take care of that before you arrive. The parade has no floats.
And no, you cannot walk with your pet.
