If you’ve ever played The Forest, you surely know that this is a video game in which exploration is key. Knowing how to orient yourself and advancing carefully in the map are two essential factors in ensuring the survival of the main character, and it is something that is also repeated in its sequel, Son of the Forest.
Endnight Games has prepared a new opus that practically surpasses its predecessor in everything by offering more detailed, larger and above all more dangerous scenarios. Finding the key items scattered across the map is almost as important as rationing your food. and water, and that is why I think it is appropriate to lend you a helping hand by clearly indicating where is one of the most important elements of the whole job: the diving equipment.
How to Get Diving Equipment in Sons of the Forest
- Step 1: Go to the beach located in the north of the island
- 2nd step: Inside the beach, head to the northwest part and follow the coast until you find yellow barrels scattered on the ground
- Step 3: Near this area there should be a sealed entrance to a cave, you need to break the wooden planks with a weapon and get inside
- Step 4: Advance through the cave using a lighter or a flashlight until you find a group of mutants, defeat them with powerful weapons like a gun and keep walking until that you have the option to turn right
- Step 5: Along the way you will find areas with light sources (which is a good sign), and in one of them is the long-awaited diving equipment; once inside the cave it’s not very difficult to find the object
The issue of oxygen cylinders
As you might expect, once you have the scuba gear, the next concern you should have is oxygen management. Throughout the map you can find plenty of cylinders to refill scuba gear, but you have to be careful as it doesn’t look like they can be crafted in any way.
In Son of the Forest It is very important to choose the moments when it is worth immersing yourself to explore under water.
