Several marches to commemorate International Labor Day this May 1 have been organized in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has warned of planned street closures on several major downtown arteries.
“Due to multiple marches and protests permitted in Downtown Los Angeles, portions of Broadway from Temple to Olympic will be closed throughout the day,” the LAPD reported.
Additionally, they asked the community to be patient, to depart on time to arrive at their destination “and to use alternate routes if possible.”
Additionally, the LADOT bus service will experience delays due to road closures.
“Commuter Express and DASH routes may experience service delays caused by increased traffic and last-minute detours in downtown Los Angeles due to the May Day marches,” LADOT reported.
