NEW YORK — A New Jersey doctor is facing charges of criminal sexual interference involving patients, local authorities said Sunday.
In a joint statement, Middlesex County District Attorney Yolanda Ciccone and Perth Amboy Police Department Chief Lawrence Cattano announced that Dr Gurvindra Johal, of Colonia, was arrested on Saturday on two counts of accusation of criminal sexual interference.
The charges stem from an investigation involving women who alleged that Johal, who practices medicine at an urgent care center in Perth Amboy, touched them inappropriately while in her care.
Information from Johal’s attorney was not immediately available.
The investigation is ongoing.
