A woman died Sunday night after being shot, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police (LVMPD) said in a statement.
At approximately 8:57 p.m., the police department reportedly received a report of a shooting in the 3400 block of Bella Lante Avenue.
Upon arrival, police said, officers found a woman with apparent gunshot wounds and medical personnel transported her to the University Medical Center (UMC) trauma center, where she was pronounced dead.
According to the LVMPD investigation, the victim was walking when he was shot by a person in an unknown vehicle and then escaped the scene in the car before police arrived.
Meanwhile, the investigation continues. The victim’s identity and cause of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
