A shooting in a community near Columbus, Ohio, left several people dead on Monday, authorities said.
The shooting occurred at a home in West Jefferson, a town of about 4,000 people located about 20 miles west of Columbus, the capital of Ohio.
Authorities said they found the bodies of the victims inside and outside the home, a duplex, according to The New York Times.
They confirmed that three bodies were found inside the residence while other bodies were found outside, without specifying how many.

However, NBC News reported that the dead are five, four men and one woman.
The residence is located on a cul-de-sac so investigators do not believe it was a random shooting. On the contrary, everything would indicate that the attack was premeditated.
The authorities acknowledged that they do not know if it was a robbery or if it was an attack with someone as a target. There are no suspects in custody.
