An anesthesiologist from Miami, Florida, has been accused of committing a “hate crime” after assaulting a man of Hispanic origin. The specialist, who is now free on bail, insulted him with racist expressions and vandalized his car.

According to reports from the news agency Efe, the arrest took place last Friday, exactly one month after the incident occurred in a Hialeah supermarket.

Apparently, the victim and Jennifer Susan Wright, a physician at Mount Sinai Medical Center, met in line to pay at a Publix. At one point, the individual – whose identity was not disclosed – asked the doctor in Spanish to keep her distance to prevent the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19), and she was enraged to the point of expressing her desire to “free herself” of all immigrants.

According to the arrest report, the 58-year-old specialist began “muttering profanity.” He even indicated that this was not going to be “Biden’s America.”

“This is my America … we should burn them all,” Wright exclaimed.

The victim decided to ignore the comments and walked to her car, however, when she was loading her purchases, she decided to confront him. He was even more enraged when the man asked him to control himself and then scratched the body of the vehicle with his keys.

Wright then punched the man and knocked the phone off his feet. He even kicked it when he was about to pick it up.

“Police investigations led to Wright’s arrest outside his Miami Springs home on Friday,” it reported. Efe.
