a famous maniac who decades ago was known as ‘The I-5 Strangler’ was found dead in a shared cell in an American jail.

Jason Budrow, accused of strangling a serial killer who was known in California (USA) as ‘The I-5 Strangler’, will not face charges that carry the death penalty, Globe Live Media announced on Thursday with reference to sources from the local Prosecutor’s Office.

Budrow is accused of strangling Roger Reece Kibbe, whose body was found on February 28 in the cell they shared at Mule Creek State Prison (California).

Amador County District Attorney Todd Riebe said Jason Budrow was charged with first-degree murder. The litigant will request life imprisonment for him without the possibility of parole, a punishment that, in fact, he is already serving for having strangled his girlfriend in 2011.

California has not executed any criminals since 2006, and current Governor Gavin Newsom imposed a moratorium on capital punishment while in office.

Kibbe was serving multiple life sentences in state prison after pleading guilty to raping and murdering seven women in the 1970s and 1980s. The killer had picked up most of his victims on Interstate 5, which is why was dubbed ‘The I-5 Strangler’.
