Man killed his stepfather with a knife in Queens, New York

Henry Garland was stabbed to death by his stepson inside his home in Queens, New York police reported.

Garland, 41, was arguing with his wife of 50 years inside the home on North Conduit Avenue in Springfield Gardens shortly before 1 a.m. yesterday when the woman’s son intervened and attacked him with a folding box-cutting knife. , the NYPD reported.

Garland, who suffered stab wounds to the neck and torso, was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Her unidentified 31-year-old stepson was detained with pending charges. A knife was recovered at the scene, police said, the New York Post was quoted as saying.
