NEW YORK – Four men were arrested after a surprising police stop in Queens, in which police officers discovered the body of a woman in the trunk of the vehicle.
NYPD said officers initially saw the men carrying a large object as they left an area on Foam Place in Far Rockaway before 2 a.m. Wednesday. Officers saw them place the object in the trunk of a vehicle and they all left, authorities said.
Officers followed the men and eventually detained them near the Nassau Expressway and Bayview Avenue. After searching the vehicle, they found a woman wrapped in a blanket. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman has not been identified and the cause of her death has yet to be determined, police said.
The four men, also unidentified, were arrested. The charges against him are pending and the investigation is ongoing.
No other information was immediately available.
