Swarm Trailer and Plot
The official Swarm trailer was released on February 24 and introduced us to Dre, a music-loving girl who becomes a fan of singer Ni’jah. As the preview shows us, Dre’s love for this star will grow, becoming something far more dangerous than mere admiration. You can see the trailer below.

The series seeks to make a fierce critique of fan culture and the toxic relationships that develop between celebrities and their followers. Beyonce, like many other musicians, has fanbases that become obsessed. Swarm’s story explores those kinds of people. Here’s what the official synopsis for the series says:

Which cast has Swarm?
Dominique Fishback leads the cast of Swarm as obsessive fan, Dre. Fishback is known for her role in Judas and the Black Messiah. She’s joined by singer Chlöe Bailey (Grown-ish), who plays Dre’s sister, Marissa, and Damson Idris (Snowfall)., who plays Marissa’s boyfriend, Khalid. Donald Glover and Janine Nabers will participate in the series as executive producers.
