On February 8, Varry Brava gave the starting signal to VARRYVISIONa new project that they announced for weeks, with the release of their first single: Bamboo.
A project that goes beyond the release of songs (including live performances and a very strong link with the field of television) which It started with deleting their social media posts, welcoming a colorful new logo, and announcing that music was coming very soon. The Murcian band told us about this new single, VARRYVISIÓN, their time at Benidorm Fest and all that is to come in this new year during their visit to LOS40 studios.
“What we really want is to open a space throughout this year in which our new songs, our new ideas, our new aesthetic fit… We are also very determined to have new audiovisual projects and to make it a large space and an open space to do a lot of new things in a very free way”, they explain about VARRYVISIÓN, in whose name there is already a link very obvious with television.
Maria Izaguirre, Bad Gyal, Blanca Paloma and Ana Mena
Precisely, television is unquestionably part of the video clip of Bamboowhere in the first seconds we witness the stellar cameo of María Izaguirre: “It was not difficult for us to convince her because our relationship with María is very good.has always been affectionate with us from the first moment and we were very happy that there was a nod to what 2022 gave at the beginning… (…) He was very professional, he did everything in one take and as soon as he arrived he left“.
A video clip with television as the protagonist which also has the participation of a Goya winner, Laura Galánwho won Best New Actress for her role in little pig in the latest edition of the awards, held at the Andalusian Auditorium in Seville. A song in which, moreover, as soon as it starts we wink at Bad Gyal, an artist very present in his playlists: “Bad Gyal sounds we think she’s an artist and we’re big fans“.
The Murcian group repeated this year at Benidorm Fest not as participants in the contest but as guest speakers on RNE, an experience they call a “shock”: “It was a bit of a shock… with less nervousness than the previous year but it was also cool: coming back, seeing that we were there, it’s quite strong… it was a very cool experience to return to the same pavilion where everything was forged and I can’t wait to come back next year as spectators,” they commented.
Their favorite, by the way, was Blanca Paloma, whom they admire as an artist and as a person, even sharing a WhatsApp group to stay in touch and send each other messages of love and support.. Among their plans is to not show up in a new edition, although they won’t close the door completely (life takes many turns); what would be a dream come true would be to be able to appear at the Sanremo Festival.
The group drinks a lot of Italian influence and would follow in the footsteps of Ana Mena in 2022, who has already performed with the song two hundred thousand hoursanother artist they admire: “we really like what he does and all the songs he releases, how he chooses the songs and this mix between Spain and Italy we like it very much. Everything he does is a great job.”
Varry Brava promises to give a lot of warfare in 2023 and from there we don’t want to miss a thing of what’s to come.
