The Inter Miami FC stadium has a new name.

From now on it will be called DRV PNK Stadium in support of the Drive Pink initiative of AutoNacion, the largest and most recognized car dealer in the United States.

The announcement of the three-year agreement between Inter Miami CF and AutoNation was made this Friday morning, April 9, at the club’s facilities in Fort Lauderdale, prior to the team’s training session open to the media.

AutoNation will be Inter Miami’s official and exclusive automotive partner, including the stadium naming rights and sponsorship of first team training jerseys, amplifying the commitment of both entities using the power of soccer and its fan base as way to fight cancer.

“Inter Miami is a purpose-driven organization, and we are proud to partner with AutoNation, a South Florida-based company that is positively impacting our community through a creative national campaign,” commented co-owner Jorge Mas. “We chose this name to bring attention to a good cause, we always seek to help our community.”

“As a sports club it is important that we take the time to partner with the right brands that not only represent our values, but also help us use our platforms and reach to amplify good causes,” added Mas.

As a result, Inter will kick off its second Major League Soccer campaign at the newly named DRV PNK Stadium from April 18, 2021.

“DRV PNK Stadium will seek to raise awareness of a mission that has raised more than $ 26 million in the fight against cancer,” said Marc Cannon, an executive at AutoNation. “Our partnership with Inter Miami will raise awareness and help fund cancer research, as well as support other organizations at the national and local levels.”

AutoNation will also become the sponsor of the “Saves” initiative during team Miami games and for each save by their goalkeeper AutoNation and Inter Miami will donate up to $ 100,000 annually for cancer research.

Once the ceremony was over, Inter began their training on the stadium’s main court beginning with a rondo and stretching exercises. Then they were divided into three groups of eight players, first performing a ball touch exercise, and then moving on to a game with four small goals with great intensity.
