One of the things I liked the most Hogwarts Legacy Ever since I’ve played it, it’s always had to do with the affection one puts into the game for every reference to the original works it draws inspiration from. And justly this time I want to talk about Flipendo, the spell that appeared in classic Harry Potter video games and pays homage to them. Therefore, in the following guide I will tell you how you can get it in the game.
How do you learn Flipendo in Hogwarts Legacy?
In order to learn this spell, we will have to complete up to two additional tasks from the professor of botany. With the first of them he will teach us Wingardium Leviosa and the second (which is the one Flipendo teaches us) this cannot be done until the first one has been completed. Therefore, I leave everything you need to know about both in order below.
How to Complete Professor Garlick’s Bonus Task 1
To learn this spell, we will have to complete a new additional task from Professor Garlick. This will require us to meet two requirements:
- That we buy and use a mandrake in battle 1️⃣
- That we buy and use a poisonous tentacle in battle 2️⃣
These plants can be obtained from the apothecary that can be found north of Hogsmeade, but they are quite expensive, butso my recommendation is that you buy their seeds and plant them in the hall of requirements (you will need a large pot, blueprints of which can be purchased from the scroll vendor in town)
When you have both plants, all you need to do is exit Hogwarts into the open world to find a dark wizard camp and use both plants there. After, You will have to speak to Professor Garlick again where it is indicated on the map and she will teach you the spell.
How to Complete Professor Garlick’s Bonus Task 2
To learn Flipendo at Hogwarts Legacy, we will have to complete Professor Garlick’s second task, which will ask us to meet two specific requirements:
- Growing and Harvesting a Descurainia Sophia 1️⃣
- Obtain all 3 Battle Plants and use them simultaneously in battle 2️⃣
For the first objective you will have to buy the seeds in stores that sell Hogsmeade ingredients and grow them in a large pot in the Room of Requirement (you can also buy the scroll in town).
This one will count as a battle plant, the other two are mandrake and chinese cabbage (these can also be grown in the requirement room). You will only have to use all 3 in combat at the same time to complete the second task. Once you complete these two objectives and talk to Garlick again, she will teach you Flipendo.
