In this guide I will tell you step by step how to complete the side mission “Shadows of Time” of Hogwarts Legacy. One of the most important missions in the story with Sebastian Sallow, so you will surely enjoy it a lot. I’ll also tell you what rewards you’ll get for completing it, as well as how to start it.

how does it start
To start it, you need to have completed Sebastian Sallow’s previous story mission, called “Shadows of Study”. Once done, you need to talk to the aforementioned Slytherin student next to the Feldcroft Catacombs.
How to complete it
Enter the catacombs and continue along the path that the game itself marks you. You can deviate from side roads if you want to get chests and such. You will also have to fight tarantulas around the plaza.
You will come to a point where you will need to talk to Sebastian and after that you will have to take some skeletons with Accio and place them on the door you see in the picture just below. If you are missing a skeleton, you will find it in one of the graves which have a handle, where you can use Accio to open them.
After advancing, Sebastian will give you the opportunity to learn Empire, so it remains in your decision whether to learn it or not. Then keep exploring the whole catacomb looking for a way forward and find the relic. You will have to face many other spiders. I recommend combing through the entire area as you will get a lot of gear, as well as a few summons from collection chests.
Then you will reach a part where there are shooters with symbols. There are walls that have symbols, so to open it you have to pull the handles that have these two symbols. Open all four walls like this and use the skeletons to open another door like before.
After that, you will find the relic you were looking for and you’ll need to talk to Sebastian and an Ominis who surprisingly followed you.
So you have, but I recommend you to go by an optional path, where there will be Devil Traps (which are hunted with Lumos) and more tombstones with bones. you must create a bridge with these bones. After that, there will be a collection chest. Now yes, go back to the exit, and you will have to go to Feldcroft after leaving the catacombs.
We now have to go back to town, which is attacked by goblins. Fight them, and when you’ve won, enjoy the cutscene featuring Sebastian Sallow, his sister, and his uncle. At the end of the cutscene, you’ll need to talk to Solomon, Sebastian’s uncle, and you’ll complete the mission.
