The Las Vegas Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon will hold several events on the Strip and downtown this weekend, resulting in major street closures.
SATURDAY
On Saturday, February 25, the marathon will run its 5K course along Las Vegas Boulevard and other nearby streets with closures beginning at 4:00 p.m.
Roads will begin to reopen as runners complete the course, but are expected to last until 7:30 p.m.
The 5K route takes Las Vegas Boulevard from Hoover Street to Fremont Street.
Fremont, Garces and Clark streets are also part of the tour. They will therefore close from Las Vegas Boulevard and end in Maryland.
Domingo
Sunday is the marathon’s 10k main event, which will cause major disruption along Las Vegas Boulevard and the I-15 freeway.
The road closure along Las Vegas Boulevard will begin at 9 a.m. and last until 2 a.m. Monday.
Parts of the marathon course will begin to reopen as the last runners arrive.
The I-15 freeway will be affected parallel to the race on Las Vegas Boulevard.
Eastbound exits on I-15 will be closed from Charleston to Spring Mountain from 2:30 p.m. to midnight.
