Avengers Campus is the newest addition to Disney California Adventure Park. This space will be designed to create a space for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The concept of integrating the Marvel universe into Disney parks was announced in 2019 during the D23 exhibition . This concept raises the idea of creating thematic areas in the different Disney parks around the world , in these areas of the parks the next generation of superheroes will be recruited where visitors can live with characters such as Spider-Man, Iron Man and the Captain America.
The idea of these theme parks has been in the planning for several years and little by little it materialized, such as the inauguration of the Guardians of the Galaxy game at Disney California Adventure and Start Expo in the Disney Hong Kong park . The Disneyland park was temporarily closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, but the reopening date is scheduled for April 30, 2021 , which means that everything will be ready to receive all fans. Unfortunately there is bad news since the park will not be able to receive international visitors until further notice as a security measure in the face of the health crisis.
