Boy in a car that crashed into a plane in the United States dies

A child who was injured in the collision of a plane against a car in Pembroke Pine, in the south of the state of Florida (U.S), died in the hospital, bringing the death toll in the accident to three, police sources said Tuesday.

The boy was traveling with a woman in a car when a Beechcraft Bonanza single-engine plane that had just taken off from North Perry airport fell to the ground and, after colliding with the car, caught fire.

Parts of the aircraft were scattered in the vicinity of a neighborhood adjacent to the North Perry Airport, in the city of Pembroke Pine, about 23 miles (37 kilometers) north of Miami.

The two occupants of the plane died at the crash site and the woman and child were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Broward County.

Officials from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) indicated that the single-engine plane crashed shortly after takeoff from the airport and announced that they will investigate the incident with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
