A shooting occurred Saturday night in Miami Beach when four criminals entered a $19.2 million mansion to steal a Range Rover, Rolls Royce, Porsche and Lamborghini, police said.
It all started around 10:30 p.m. at the entrance of a closed house on Pine Tree Drive, near 44th Street.

According to the newspaper Miami Herald, the property’s security guard managed to shoot down one of the thieves, aboard the Range Rover, but the others rushed to escape in two remaining cars.

The gunshot-wounded suspect turned himself in to police after a brief confrontation. For now it is known that he is hospitalized in critical condition, but stable.

A second subject got out of the Rolls Royce he was trying to take away and fled with the others in a white Porsche 911 (Florida registration QQI-K17) and a green Lamborghini Urus (Florida registration QGL-I53).

The injured subject inside the car refused to cooperate with officers and barricaded himself inside the vehicle for several hours, requiring a hostage negotiation team to respond to the scene.

Eventually, he gave up and was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Police said he has not yet been formally charged.

Throughout Sunday morning, detectives combed the property for clues and towed the Range Rover away.

The other two cars and the men who took them have not been located.

Anyone with information should call the Miami Beach Police or Miami Dade Crimestoppers at (305) 471-8477.
