At least three minors died and several people were injured Monday in a shooting at a private Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee, an incident in which the alleged attacker was fatally shot, according to local authorities.
The event happened at the school of the Covenant Presbyterian Church. Students from the school were evacuated and reunited with their parents at Woodmont Baptist Church, the Nashville Police Department reported via your Twitter account.
The Nashville Fire Department said on his Twitter account that they were caring for “several patients” in connection with the incident.
Vanderbilt Medical Center Children’s Hospital confirmed to NBC News that three minors were transported to the medical center with gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead upon arrival at the medical facility. NBC News has also confirmed that the fourth fatality, the attacker, is an adult.
Covenant School is a private Christian school that runs from kindergarten through sixth grade.
