Abraham Mateo’s latest return gives a lot to say. Last year, the Cadiz singer released several songs as part of a new era in which he embraces the electronic pop and urban sounds that predominate on the international scene. To talk about these successes, his latest collaborations and his performance at the 2023 LOS40 Music Awards, Tony Aguilar received the artist at the LOS40 Global Show.

Belinda

I would like It’s one of those songs that I kept in my drawer. It had been in the studio for a year and a half, waiting for the perfect time to release it. And taking advantage of the electronic music boom and the fact that Belinda came to Spain to record welcome to edenI invited her to my studio and it was the subject she loved the most”.

Little flamenco with Daviles from Novelda

“I did some flamenco with Davide from Novelda. I look at your face This is another of the songs I had in the studio. It very much defines my personality and where I come from. In Cadiz, it’s a subject that works very well”.

The song with Luis Fonsi

“Luis Fonsi is an artist that I have admired since I was eleven years old. I started singing his songs and uploading them to YouTube. He has also followed me since I was little and we had the opportunity to meet us. Bora Bora I sent it to him, he instantly connected with the song and we finished shaping it in my house. Now I can say that I admire him not only as an artist, but also as a person. He is a friend.”

Performance at the LOS40 Music Awards

“I was quite nervous before the performance because I wanted everything to go perfectly. It was a show that we had prepared very carefully. I remember the previous week in the studio preparing all the programming for that the usual version doesn’t sound and I’m taking a “break” from the dancing and that show that he wanted to give people on that very special night He wanted to do something that would be at the level of some American awards and everything turned out amazing.”
