ORLANDO — Actor Drake Bell posted on his social media a possible explanation for his hours-long disappearance that was reported Thursday by police in Daytona Beach, Florida.
“You leave your phone in the car and you don’t answer overnight and what about that?” he posted on his Twitter account with a laughing emoji.
The post was posted several hours after authorities in Florida issued a warning of her suspected disappearance and subsequent discovery.
In an initial statement, police in Daytona Beach, northeast Florida, warned of his disappearance and the possibility that his life was in danger.
Indeed, they asked for a citizen collaboration to locate Bell, which became known internationally with the series “Drake & Josh” (2004-2007), on the cable television channel Nickelodeon.
The interpreter was last seen, according to the Police, this Wednesday at around 9:00 p.m. driving a gray BMW car near Mainland High School, located in Daytona Beach.
Since then, and until around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, there has been no news of the actor who, thanks to the aforementioned series and “The Amanda Show”, has become very popular in Latin America.
Several hours later, they confirmed in a social media update that “law enforcement is in contact with Bell” and that “he is safe.”
Indeed, the artist called himself Drake Campana on his social networks and published bilingual songs such as “Fuego lento” and “Diosa”.
The pop music singer was sentenced in 2021 to 2 years probation after pleading guilty to two crimes against minors.
Bell had previously been convicted in 2015 of driving under the influence of alcohol, and in 2020 his ex-girlfriend Melissa Lingafelt accused him on social media of physical and sexual abuse during the time they shared a relationship between 2006 and 2008, allegations that the actor categorically denied.
Jared Drake Bell (Santa Ana, California, 1986) began his artistic career as an actor in television series and commercials.
