NEW YORK — Malibu will soon find itself in the Big Apple, all thanks to a coffee arise temporary that pays homage to the iconic Barbie doll.
The Malibu Barbie Cafe: New York City will open May 17 through September 15, according to the TimeOut website.
The pop-up arrives in time for the highly anticipated ‘Barbie’ movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
The café will transport guests back to 1970s Malibu, California with a Barbie-style color palette, seaside and retro decor. There will be immersive spaces and photo shoots inspired by the icon herself, Malibu Barbie. There will even be a life-size Barbie doll box to strike your best pose in an Instagram-worthy photo.
The cafe itself will be a casual, family dining experience featuring, among other menu options, pancakes, salads and sandwiches. There will also be desserts and a variety of drinks.
Prices will start at $35 for children, $50 for adults. Each ticket includes a reserved seat, a guaranteed time window for dining, and choice of entree and side dish.
