Zynga Inc., a publishing label owned by Take-Two Interactive (NASDAQ: TTWO), today announced the appointment of Akshay Bharadwaj as the new head of Barcelona-based development studio Socialpoint. In his previous role as Vice President and General Manager of Zynga India, Bharadwaj oversaw the operations of numerous Zynga portfolio titles, including the highly successful FarmVille family, while also being responsible for selecting teams to create new games for the global market. Bharadwaj will bring to Socialpoint decades of business management and development, production and engineering experience in game development, digital learning, consumer internet and business internationalization.

Under Bharadwaj’s leadership, Socialpoint will launch a new mobile game globally in Take-Two’s 2024 fiscal year.
